March 31-April 2, 2014 at 10:00 Introduction to Flow Cytometry – 1 ECTS
Flow cytometry is a powerful technique for cell analysis where multiparameter data is easily acquired in both clinical and basic research setting. During this course, you will learn the basics of flow cytometry. The lectures (2h) will cover the theoretical background and most used applications as well as software tools for flow cytometry analysis. During the hands-on session (1.5h), you will familiarize with a flow cytometer by setting up the instrument and by acquiring data. Introduction lecture will be held on Monday March 31st 10-12 in 5th floor BTK seminar room.
To earn 1 ECTS, each student will write a short report about flow cytometry and a basic protocol for how to prepare samples and how to measure and analyze data.
Max 15 participants, in registration order. Binding registration to flow@bioimaging.fi by March 27th. Please indicate your preferred demo group times.
